What are you most excited about working on at Zenefits?!

So much! I originally started in April 2015 and have lived through the Zenefits rollercoaster. I believe that there is so much going for this company, and I’ve never worked with such a talented, innovative, and driven group of people as those who are here. I’m excited to be back and working cross-departmentally on a variety of initiatives to better help our customers and to streamline our internal processes.

Describe your perfect Saturday:

I have two versions of my perfect Saturday–one if I’m feeling adventurous and one if I’m being a homebody. On the adventurous side, I’d point you towards the last question here. For my perfect Saturday at home, I would spend the day with my husband and my four pets (a Siberian husky, a Golden/Brittany mix, a tortie cat, and a long-haired mix). When we’re not playing with the dogs or cuddling the cats, I’d spend the day reading while my husband played video games. Simple, but relaxing.

If you could choose one snack that always be stocked in our kitchen, what would it be?

Honeycrisp apples, or if out of season, macintosh apples. They both have the perfect crunch as well as a solid sweet to sour ratio. I ¬†also wouldn’t complain about having some almond butter on hand.

If you could time travel to another decade/era, what would it be and why?

This is one of my favorite questions, but it’s so hard to choose. I am a medieval history nerd (among other varieties of nerd) and can actually read Old and Middle English. I would probably want to travel to 11th, 12th, or 14th century Europe, all of which had their own mix of major linguistic, social, and political upheaval. I would just have to brush up on my archery beforehand.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?

Edinburgh, Scotland is my favorite city in the world because of its mix of historic architecture, fascinating history, and lively people. I would love to spend an undetermined amount of time there as well as in the Scottish Highlands so that I could further study their history, language, and folklore. On any given day, you’d find me wandering around, exploring new areas and meeting up with the locals for a drink and some conversation. ¬†
